Fabrizio B. Kun Pollice, multi-instrumentalist, world champion DJ & producer. Son of a professional musician, he first approached music at the tender age of 5, starting with violin, percussion and guitar studies. By the age of 20, his love for music lead him to work in a recording studio and providing demonstrations for Native Instruments (Traktor scratch), Apple (Logic), Digidesign (Pro Tools) for events around Italy.
In 2009, he produced “AL CUBO” the SCRATCHBUSTERS (Bioshi, Drugo, PJ) debut album: eight tracks including “Dont Worry be Happy” remix “scratch version”.
December 2009 saw him win, together with Drugo, the IDA SHOW CATEGORY ITALY, and soon after, the prestigious IDA WORLD SHOW CATEGORY. This marked the first time an Italian DJ earned the World DJ Champion title!
B. Kun was involved in a number of different projects in 2010. The experimental hip hop project Saweshi, together with the talented MC Sawerio, became an ambitious twelve-track concept album, including comic strips and illustrations.
The collaboration with the band John, Hed & Nik developed into a new project called Sound Inc. Thanks to the video “Color Refresh” they brought a new vibe into the classic hip hop jazz sound and received thousands of hits on the Internet.
The Scratchbusters project, a duo with Drugo, participated in the IDA WORLD promo video and showcased at the IDA World final.
2011 was an important and intense year for B. Kun.
Aside from his live work with Sound Inc., he became involved in new projects and new production experiences.
He won the Tokyo Dawn remix contest with Amalia’s “All the Funk I Need” track, demonstrating his skills as remixer and arranger.
He was chosen to be the producer of the 2011 edition of the Original Cultures international project, where musicians and artists collaborate to create a unique show. From this experience B. Kun put out his first 12-track beat tape titled “DBD”.
Meanwhile, Sound Inc. evolved into the new Beat Inc., with drummer Hed. Beat Inc. brings an amazing live show to festivals and clubs with an original and unique fusing of electronic, house, funk and hip hop.
In late 2011, he produced “Thursday Rain”, a new beat tape, on Bandcamp.
In February 2012, B. Kun will issue a new release for the Original Cultures project with four re-arranged and re-recorded tracks, plus four remixes based on music from “The Formula”.
